Video Editing Not Useable For Me
Photoshop Elements 6 is a great program. Adobe Premiere Elements 4 was (for my circumstances) a big disappointment. Premiere will simply not handle my video files (*.mod aka mpeg2) without crashing. Every time. Spent some time on the Adobe forum both looking for similar problems and posting my own problem and the general consensus is that Premiere is most reliable with DV-AVI file types and that other file types (certainly mpeg2 and it's derivatives such as my JVC camera's *.mod types) are very problematic. I am looking into a format converter but, meanwhile, using another movie editor. My computer is an HP with a AMD Athlon 64x2, 3 GB Ram, 400 GB of harddrive and Windows XP Media Center so it should have plenty of horsepower.


Check your system before purchase.
First 4 will not install unless you have a "central processing unit of treatment which supports the whole of instruction SSE2". It does not indicate anything on this subject on the box... you discover when you try to install it on your PC. Elements 6 of Photoshop functions well, there must learn much, after having even had PhotoDeluxe and the MAGNET. I bought a book "classroom in a book" for elements 6 of Photoshop but stripped still employed. I am annoyed always too much about not being able to employ first 4 of Photoshop of which - you have need to make a presentation DVD. You can, however, make on top CD but known as that the DVD has a better quality. I would not know that since I CANNOT employ it. I wish that there be just an updated version of PhotoDeluxe.


Love this program!
I am a REAL ESTATE AGENT. Thus, the quality of the photographs which I take of the houses I put the market is on line VERY important. I make already necessary the equipment of camera to take photographs of quality. This program enables me to add that not very additional the necessary edition to make my photographs which well better. I employed the version 5 of this software and continuation of formation image of DIGITAL of Microsoft. I read the reviews for the package of Corel and decided against testing it. After reading the reviews for the elements of Photoshop of version 6 and the improvements which they brought, I decided to improve. I am really happy I. I like this program! That takes a little time to appear out of which button you must push and to learn the Photoshop limits employs. This seems to be the case with all the programs. I can say to you that it is worth the sorrow to make the effort. Court to spend the $600 for the full version of Photoshop, elements 6.0 of this Photoshop is the best than I found.


Needs a manual!
Elements 6.0 were provocative initially but after the test and the error teach you where the things are. I am sure that I always miss some things however! The Prime Minister however was a hard work of the love. I left to buy this and hoped that I would make go up a slide show in the time of a few hours and it was just not the case. After I created it, I could not find the thing crowned transferred in the Prime Minister! It was a nightmare! ! ! ! There were no instruction, directions, nothing! The adobe was not absolutely any assistance to me either. I finally appeared that it outside by error and this was right in the notch of the hour for one present of Christmas. After two months of "play" with the program I am not always any expert with him. I did not read the book of "simulacres" thus I do not know if it would help or not. Moreover, the program runs extremely slow. My council, glance around, if you can test the version then make certainly thus before buying.


Review of Adobe's newest PSE and PE software
The adobe changed the face of elements 6.0 of Photoshop and elements 4.0 of first. I do not like the change. The black is a color difficult to work with, finding the arrows of list and other levers of adjustment is almost impossible. A request with the adobe on the way in which to change this color was not productive since PSE cannot be changed... but the EP can. As for employing the software, each version of these two offers of edition of programs more options for the user. It would be so good if the adobe would take a page of the book of Microsoft and would offer free interactive courses of instruction for their products.


Does Not Import
I have 8000 photos in photo album and have not been able to import my catalog as described in the help section. It is possible per the instructions. However, I now see several users have the same problem. I'm disappointed you can't move info from one adobe product to a newer version of the same product.


Great Photo and Video Editing Studio
Large product! Easy to employ. Marks it easy to find all your photograph and videos in a place. Better in writers of photograph and video of class.

Elements 6 is awesome , and easy to use . Much better than the previous 4 photo software programs I've used . It's especially easy to make my photos totally perfect , and extremely easy to share online . I have not had the opportunity to use Elements 4 yet , because I've been so engrosed with Elements 6 .


Good book and CD-ROM
The book is good. Very detailed. The programs are more complex than I anticipated. If you have the software without this book you could be looking all over for the guidance you need. It's all in here.


Great Product...but only when it works
I am having the same issues as everyone else - It freezes like crazy. I have a computer with 4 gig of RAM (with XP, so its technically 3.5 gig) and it still freaks out. I am reinstalling my 3.0 version tonight. This may be my last time with this product. I want my money back!


Photoshop Elements/Premiere Elements
The software is used primarily by my teenager. It has totally crashed the hard drive on my XP machine twice. I finally had to uninstall the Premiere Elements and have not had a problem since (fingers crossed). I purchased an external hard drive and will try running it on that.


Very Disappointed
I paid $120 this product. When I received it, I found there were not any guide of user for the elements of Photoshop or the elements of first. Come to discover, the ADOBE does not put more the guides of user in the box... which you must pay of the $40 additional each one if you want it! ! ! I think who am pathetic!


sounds great in theory, but not working
This product seems large, resounds large. BUT, we cannot obtain it to do any the marvellous things that it them complaints with being able in measurement leave you. We bought the classroom in a book (the guide), and have us to pass the hours trying to appear it outside. Working right step like only he says to him. Very frustrating


Disappointed
I purchased this product thinking it was going to give me some of the benefits of Roxio's CD Creator and Pinnacle's Studio Plus, the only benefit it gave was in downloading pictures from my camera, it automatically will take out red eye, I would recommend using the free version to do this, the $100+ I spent for this program wasn't worth the money.


Photoshop/Premiere Combo Pack
Both came in the same box, neither one nor the other had the wide documentation of hard copy. But both are now installed on my computer Vista-Os, and until me know work very well. The child #2 employs the first for the visual edition, or employs the "pinacle". The child #3 likes Photoshop to publish photographs.


Nice upgrade
This is a nice upgrade. Premiere crashed sometimes when editing or compiling especially if the videa steam contains mixed PA, NTSC signals.


Highly Recommended
Haven't tried Premiere Elements yet, because I have no experience with this type software. Photoshop Elements 6.0 Works well with Vista and I lke the new features. It isn't as aggressive about taking contol of the way I sort my pictures and has some great features; such as being able to move people from one photo to another in group shots. I really like the way extra visual depth can be accomplished using adjust lighting and then shadows and highlights. This was my favorite feature in version 4.0 as well.


Going back to Roxio Easy Media Creator
Adobe Premier Elements 4.0 is one of the most unstable, crash-prone software programs I've ever encountered, even on the latest, most-powerful home computer systems. I've run the software on two computers with two operating systems, XP and Vista, and the results have been the same... disappointing. I suspect this software is only useful for the smallest of video projects. It's virtually unusable for moderately complex projects such as a DVD to commemorate a youth sport team's season with a mix of edited videos, pictures, music, and text. I thought Roxio's Easy Media Creator software had a few bugs but it was a dream compared to Adobe's Premier Elements. My first project with Premier Elements will be my last; I'm going back to Roxio.



Adobe Printshop Elements 6 and Premiere Elements
To obtain just started to employ it but has great possibilities. Printshop does not have good documentation for the assistances of beginner and this book(s) enormously.


Adobe Elements and Premiere
I was always very satisfied and happy with products of adobe. I have the photoshop 7 installed on my top of office of windows.xp. When I bought my current premium of Vista of windows of book at the house I immediately bought elements 6 of photograph of adobe and first 4 because of my experiment with the photoshop 7. I did not consider the product of another company. The elements and the first of adobe are very flexible and easy to employ. I created many large presentations and videos of dvd for me and my family. I am very happy with the product. I strongly recommend elements and the first of adobe.


Great for a home use ..
It works WELL on my portable computer with RAM 2GB. Excel for a personal use and at the house. Good for my urgent of budget of hte CS2 or CS3. I would recommend it.


Potoshop Elements 6.0
A great levelling with the elements of Photoshop. It is a faster access leaving easier to use with the vast choice of possibilities in this program. I like the manner that that functions with elements of first.


Upgrade from Premiere 2 to 4 is useless
I employed Prime Minister 2 of adobe to create 6 DVDs different for my family from all the various sources. The test to open a project of version 2 in version 4 took at more the 2 hours and it is still not made. I have Pentium 4, Hyperthreading 2.6HGz, with RAM 3GB. Do not improve unless you have a new PC and do not want to take a risk. I had to commutate again with the version 2 which at least will function but has problems to produce deep submenus (10 levels).


Photoshop Elements 6 is great for photo hobbyists!
I am a numerical enthusiast of photograph (amateur) and not a professional. I wanted to do little one more with my photographs. I employ several other programmes of improvement of photograph, but none will compete with the facility of use of elements 6. You should not be a genius to employ it. The curve of study is nowhere close as stiff as a part of the software as I had tried to employ. Stripped I however used the Prime Minister of adobe. I would recommend this software to no matter whom interested to improve their numerical photographs without learning how to be a professional.


Like to take chances?
Read the reviews! It has the potential to be a great program, but that is a roller of the matrices survive to him will function for you or not. I charged the program on my machine (Pentium 4, 3 gigahertz with 1 gig of RAM and 400 gigaoctets H.D.) and I could not achieve even staples simple basic film 12 minute old without him breaking - a total of ten times. I am thus frustrated and leaves downwards with this program that the idea to publish films is now manner downwards on my list of plan of things I on spending my valid time top. I did not obtain to choose the estimate to hold the first role for this this deserved product because there was no enumerated black hole.

Good Product Challanging to learn.
The product makes very which we had hoped. The ON LINE HELP indicates to you that very that you could want to know, but I find it cumbersome to employ. We will have to refine a book which is easier to use. One which is written for a beginner. After the catch of our old films of 8mm with Walmart to be converted into CD, we could make a very good DVD with the basic music. It frustrated sometimes. The products function well.


Difficult
I hope that this program will be in value the effort. That is very difficult to direct and will take a good moment to learn. It does not come with good instructions.


Solid and fun
The learning curve for a new video editing program is steep, so I put off switching from my Pinnacle Studio program for quite a while. But while I could ignore Pinnacle's crashes and lockups, when it refused to render a movie that I put many hours of work into, I knew it was time to switch.
I was more careful this time in selecting another movie editing program, and I picked Adobe's because of the quality of the other Adobe products I've used. I was not disappointed in selecting Premier. Not only is it more functional than my former editor, but it integrates nicely with Photoshop Elements, and it's *Rock Solid*. No lockups. Not only did it render my first significant movie without glitches, but it did so in about 1/2 the time it would have taken with my older program. The integration with Elements was a real plus, as most of my "movies" are mostly still images, with animation, sound, transitions, effects, etc. I've found this is a great way to organize digital photos... a replacement for the venerable photo album of days past. Premier + Elements makes this fun, and lets me create DVD's of my photos that can be enjoyed on the TV screens of my family and friends. Thanks Adobe, for keeping the focus on quality software that works well with other programs. Program performance is OK on my 2.4GHz 2GB Windows XP system, but more CPU horsepower would help some editing. My wish list for these programs would start with better documentation.. more examples for newcomers to flatten that learning curve.


Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 & Adobe Premiere Elements 4
I purchsed this like Christmas present for my husband. He opened it this morning and was on the stop of computer not. He is extremely impressed of all the functions and facility of use compared with PhotoShop 6. Forwarding lit the fast and excellent communications and the followup. I was very happy with the order and the delivery and my husband seem very happy with elements 6 of Photoshop of adobe. Thank you for the excellent service.


Welcome Back Undo Button
I have used the last three versions of the Adobe Bundle. I did not like what they did in the PSE 5 and PE3 removing the commonly used undo button and some other issues. I uninstalled that bundle. I am pleased with most of the changes. Some have complained about the interface color, but that is adjustable. I would like if you could drag frequently used menu items to the top menu bar as you can in Microsoft Office 2007. I will let someone have the last bundle for a reasonable price.


Adobe Photoshop and Elements Review
A bit expensive especially if you have to buy each product separately. However, the products are robust and full featured.


Good program...No manual!
I like the idea of this program. However, it is not almost also simple to employ as I had hoped. I had to buy a book to say to me that how to use the tools in the section of photoshop and stripped appeared always completely out of the section of first (I need another book for that). It would be nice if the program came with a handbook for those from us who do not find such programs to be intuitive.


are you sitting comfortably?
I think the legions of ventilators of adobe, including criticisms of expert/magazine, forgot how really and shockingly the frustration of the programs of elements of Photoshop can be if one is new with them. Point out to me new clothing of a little emperor -- people are hesitant to admit with no matter whom differently than it is difficult to learn them! Many buried and the stages nonintuitive are required to do some of the simplest procedures. That took to me one hour on line of research to the figure out of Juste how to add an image to an existing project. It is not dredger and drops! Until you discover the complicated processes, intend to write many notes and to have it Poteau- of the stickers everywhere your office. You can obtain fabulous results, but the man, prepare with a long curve of study. I the sure wish Microsoft did not stop their series easy to use superb image of DIGITAL.


Great value, but expect frustration
This is simply the best bang for buck package in the photo and video editing consumer market. There is a learning curve for the advanced features, but man you can do some awesome things once you learn. This package really makes most of the functionality of the super-expensive full versions accessible to the home user.

The only problem is that these programs are very buggy (premiere more so than photoshop). There is a lot of frustration the first few weeks as you spend a lot of time losing and repeating work due to crashes. You eventually learn where the bugs are and develop the habit of saving after every edit you make.

Adobe would be well advised to simply focus on bug fixes and polishing the product for an entire release. They keep losing folks, not because the user interface is too complicated, but because the program keeps crashing.


Not compatible with my XP computer
I tried to install the program into 2 different XP desktop computers and the first one wouldn't even install. The second computer was able to install and when I tried to start the program up, it would crash my system and the computer would restart on its own. I tried re-installing but it didn't work. Not sure why this happened, my computers have at least the minimum required RAM and processor speed.


A Reasonable Package
The value is good. With Photoshop the standard for photo editing, Photoshop Elements ends up being a good choice to get a taste of the higher end full Photoshop. The skills do transfer.

I was a Microsoft Digital Picture Suite user before they decided not to support Vista. Compared to Digital Picture Suite, Photoshop Element is less intutive to use out of the box. By reading the included manuals and practicing with the software, I was able to figure out the basic tools. Elements is more powerful than Digital Picture Suite. The extra complexity in Elements is a typical trade off between ease of use (Complexity) and power.

I am a user of Pinacle Studio 11. Compared to Premiere Elements 4, Studio 11 is a much better program. I would never buy Premiere Elements as a stand alone product but for the $50 extra beyond Adobe Elements, it is a good place to start if you are new to Video editing. Once you outgrow the capabilities of Premiere elements you will want to move to something like Pinacle Studio.


Great program
I have used inexpensive digital imagining software for many years and this is a great software at an affordable price


Not for the novis
I downloaded a trial version and am glad I did. I found that Adobes Photoshop is not for the novice. I found it not to be very user friendly at all. Their instructions are very good at telling you what all they can do and the program does seem to offer some great features; however, their instructions fall short of telling you how to use their functions. There are much more user friendly programs out there. I did not find a good tutorial or instruction format for this system. Glad I did not buy it first before trying it out.


How do I use it? You need to BUY a manual!!!
Have received and installed the 2 programs. Now how do I use it? The manuals (ha!) that come with are a joke. Info on what the programs CAN do but nothing on HOW to do it!! Am new to Photoshop so am at a loss, guessing my way through even the basics. You are expected to purchase manuals separately? I expected more out of an Adobe product. Were other versions sold the same way? You can get help on-line, but what a pain! If you are unfamiliar with the product and/or it's new features you will need to BUY a manual in ADDITION to the software. And before purchasing the Adobe "Classroom In A Book" published version shown at $41 explore the others available such as "The Missing Manual" by Barbara Brundage - customer reviews are high. Or upcomming "For Dummys" publication. Once I get the manual I decided on and learn how to use the programs effectively I may upgrade my rating, but for now the 2 stars stand because of the lack of documentation. Like I said - I expected more out of an Adobe product!!


Photoshop Elements 6 and Premiere Elements 4
The little which I know of the software seems very well in this moment. However, I was disappointed because a printed user's manual was not included as an element of the package. If the site indicated this to be the case, it was not obvious and I missed seeing it. Otherwise I am satisfied.

Adobe does not support on Vista
Adobe does not support the product on Vista. I tried to install the product without success. Two weeks ago I opened a customer service case only to be told that I have to open a technical case, which I would have done if their site had let me. Over ten days since opening the technical case and a week since opening a second technical case as the first one seemed to have got lost, still no reply.

Adobe claims to respond to installation issues in 24 hours. It has been a week.

I could probably have fixed the problem myself if the installer would say what the problem is. But it just says 'oops, problem, rolling back the install'.

Over a week with no response is utterly unacceptable.


Premiere element 4 & photoshop 6

ADOBE ELEMENTS
I employed the preceding versions of the softwares of elements of adobe for Photoshop and Prime Minister. They are the two excellent reduced versions their full puffed up versions at an accessible price. I employ the reduced word loosly while all the two packages "carry out" like their increased versions. Well that each one contains much presettings which to save time and provides results very watchable there abundance of flexibity for creativty invidual is. They make it possible to the user to go manner beyond the basic improvement and publishing load of other softwares and one can create very professional and single final exposures.


A bundle primarily for video editing
This software bundle is primarily for people that want to do video editing, because that's how the product synergy goes - Photoshop Elements is extremely useful for making DVD menu templates and still images that can be used in Premiere, but Premiere Elements offers very little to those primarily working with still images (the still images Premiere can pull from videos tend to flicker and be of low resolution).

So, if you're looking to buy this bundle, you need to ask yourself this question: are you interested enough in video editing to pay roughly $50.00 extra for such a program when Windows users get a basic video editor for free (most versions of Vista and XP come with Microsoft Movie Maker, but most people don't realize that they have it installed)? If you've used Movie Maker and you want something more powerful, then this package is a great deal. If not... why not try the free option first before investing in both programs?

As to the individual programs... Longer, more detailed reviews for each can be found on their individual product pages. For those that don't feel like searching, though: Photoshop Elements 6 is one of the best versions of the software I've used in years, and I highly recommend it; Premiere Elements 4, on the other hand, is much less stable than the previous version, and ended up being a disappointment. I can still recommend this bundle, but those purchasing it should be aware that Premiere Elements currently has some issues that Adobe needs to address with a patch (a patch that was not available at the time of this writing).

Note about system requirements: Premiere Elements is listed as requiring an Intel Pentium 4 or Celeron 1.7GHz (or compatible) processor (note the lack of support for AMD). RAM for XP is 512MB, 1GB for Vista. Photoshop Elements' requirements are slightly less, and are listed as only needing an Intel Pentium 4, Pentium M, or Intel Centrino 1.3GHz (or compatible) processor. Photoshop Elements also requires less RAM, and is listed at 256MB minimum.



Adobe Elements
having had a previous version of Adobe elements I was expecting upgrades and new features and they did not disappoint. The group picture feature is great especailly when you have fidigety kids to take pictures of. While i am still learning the features I an very pleased so far.


Most of the power at a fraction of the price
Elements 6 of Photoshop of adobe and the elements of first 4 packages is one of the best values for the writer at the house of photo/video. I use the full version of Photoshop and a video rather expensive publishing (Sony Vegas) the package with our business, but needed (a relative limit, I know) a powerful package however inexpensive to employ at the house. Here my observations on each package: Elements 6 De Photoshop: At first sight I was disappointed and thought that I had made a great error because the interface of defect is rather simplistic (which is a GOOD thing for the majority of the users). While using with some of more the devices in advance (such as "curves") and the capacity to charge in the gauges, the tools of a click (while large for the occasional user) were underwhelming. Not to fear however, the more powerful tools are still available while using a different mode of edition, than I would have found more quickly if I had read the handbook somewhat well just. On the whole, the weather is nice to be "a difficulty" able very of click of my photographs of family, and has always the capacity to obtain more powerful tools for work than I bring the house with me. It is a fantastic value for the money! Elements 4 Of First: Since the major part of my edition is made on higher packages of the dollar to work, I was right seeking a software package at the house to assemble quickly fasten, make slide shows of photograph, and to convert fasten for the remote loading in YouTube. This package astonished me that with it is the facility of use of dredger and fall. It is fantastic for the user at the house and does exactly what it indicates that it will make. A note about the integration of YouTube, it is nothing fantastic soon! I had staples which was too large simply to download and my expensive software of work right was too hard to obtain the volume and the quality of file which they require. By using elements of first, I could drop myself in the large one fasten, indicate that it was for YouTube, and the software made the rest... including/understanding to enter it and download towards my Juste of account of the interior of the program. No disorder, no agitation, just as announced! On the whole, I think that it is one of the best packages at the house of user available. Enough simple for the basic user with the access to the more powerful tools if necessary.


Problem with PhotoShop Premiere Elements 4 .....
Elements 6 of PhotoShop is exceptional, one should have these tools available in each computer, each household - no doubt. But I had a problem with elements 4 of first - the visual part of it - which I could not charge them in my computer, because of its conditions minimum. Read please by them initially and see, if your processor is qualified to carry out the program really enough. The differently better choice could be, to just buy elements 6 of PhotoShop, without obtaining elements 4 of first.


Best bang for your buck
I am coming from Adobe Photoshop Elements (PE) version 4.0 and Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 and this review reflects that. Most of this review will be for PE 6.0 since I have spent most my time editing photos. I would not call myself a power user, but perhaps I am approaching an advanced user. As such, I hope this is useful for those with similar experience. There is no getting around that PE has a tremendous amount of power for the cost of the program.

In a nutshell:
An upgrade from PE 4.0 is highly recommended.
From my understanding of PE 5.0, there are not enough new photo editing features to warrant an upgrade.

Many of the small nuances in PE 4.0 have been smoothed out and there are a number of added features. Some of the more important features for photo editing include a better RAW conversion routine and a CORRECT CAMERA DISTORTION routine (although a lighter version than in Photoshop CS). These by themselves probably make version 6.0 a worthwhile upgrade from version 4.0. I also found the new ADJUST SHARPNESS tool easy to use with minimal edge highlights, although I have been using a third party sharpener that seems comparable. The new curves routine is really not very useful since it is not in an adjustment layer. This was disappointing and you would be better off downloading a third party curves plug-in of which there are several - both free and fee types. You would then have the full benefit of curves outside of an adjustment layer. However, I think all these tools were available in version 5.0. Also, and apparently beginning with version 5.0, Adobe has made it more difficult to install "Hidden Power" tools (authored by Richard Lynch - do a search). I use some of these tools extensively and probably would not upgrade PE if I were not able to install them. However, I was successful in installing them in version 6.0 using methods similar to version 5.0.

Version 6.0 has a darker gray background. I have mixed feelings about this. At first, I found my pictures to "pop" and easier to view. However, after using it for some time, I don't know that it really offers much benefit. In fact, it can make your pictures appear brighter than they really are. Thus, it is even more critical to use the histogram (Personally, I thought it beneficial to use the middle gray that cameras expose for resulting in a good visual for a photo that is supposed to be a little darker or a little lighter. The background in the photo editor of version 4.0 was middle gray.). The second thing I don't care for is the coloration of the tools. They are very distracting. If Adobe darkened the background to be less distracting, why would they color the tools? Also, the various versions of a tool are no longer represented in the tool bar. For example, in version 4.0, when the BURN tool was clicked on, both the BURN and DODGE appeared in the toolbar. Now you have to right click on the tool to get the option (I guess power users would just use ALT-CLICK ;) ). Finally, it is clear that Adobe has spent some effort in trying to make the program run faster. I think in some respects they have succeeded. Unfortunately, they continue to offset the speed by bulking the program up with gimmicks. I guess they have done their marketing research and that is what people are asking for. I don't care for them but can understand that Adobe wants to reach a wider audience. Beginners will appreciate the "Guided Edit" to help them learn editing steps and there is a more extensive set of photo sharing tools.

As far as Premiere Elements goes, the same dark background is used which sometimes makes the text difficult to read. From the little I have used it so far, the program seems more stable than version 2.0. One issue that you might come up against, as I have, is that not all the pre-made frames from version 2.0 were included in the new version. When I loaded some of my previously made movies, an error box came up asking where the frames were. Finally, Adobe replaced many of the markers such as the "In Point" and "Out Point". I preferred the older markers as they mimicked professional equipment that I have seen. Anyway, they will take some time getting used to.

In spite of these minor nuances, the package easily gets a 5 star rating.


Elements 6 & Premiere Elements 4 Bundle
Please realize that elements 4 of first will not function on any processor of computer which does not support the whole of instruction SSE2. What follows comes from a note of technology of adobe: Important: CPUs following do not have support SSE2 and will not function with the elements 3.x of first of adobe: Pentium III of INTEL, AMD Athlon, AMD Athlon XP, or AMD Athlon XP-M. Elements 6 does not have this limitation. Empaquetement of the two products one would make suppose that the conditions for each program were identical. The elements is a superb program. The cost to be improved of elements 5 to 6 is dubious. However a levelling of any other version of the elements is worth the sorrow the cost. I cannot present his observations on the first since it would not function on my computer of HP. The Amazon refunded my money. The adobe was unaware of my protest which the limitation should appear in the letters "bold" in the literature of publicity. Hurray for the Amazon. Shame on the adobe!


Adobe Photoshop 6 & Premiere Elements 4
PSE6 is a typical levelling of adobe, incorporating improvements of the versions earlier of profitability and surplus of execution (PSE2-5). The screens are more attractive and functional, and the tools are more functional in several cases. The organizer can even work this time. I could not determine the execution or the value of PE4 because of an important omission in its marking, which is the condition for a central processing unit of treatment which has the whole of instruction SSE2 available. My central processing unit of treatment, while differently equivalent to those recommended for the product, does not have instructions SSE2, thus the software will not charge. I transmitted this information directly to the adobe, and they are appropriate that my evaluation of the outstanding omission is precise.


Great product that lacks basic documentation
I opted NOT to purchase the download simply because as a new user of PS Elements, I wanted a manual to learn how to use the product I paid for. Apparently that was too much to expect. Now I see Adobe Press sells a book for Elements 6 & Premiere 4 for the small sum of $64.99 ($40.94 + 5% off for pre-ordering on Amazon) a month after releasing the software.
Don't get me wrong -- I am enjoying the product immensely. I am irritated that Adobe opts to include nothing more than an idiot guide. I have never used Elements before, so the task of clicking "Help" and reading the online version while attempting to perform that task at hand is, shall we say, less than satisfying.
Three stars for the lack of documentation, otherwise a fine product that people can use out-of-the-box in its simplest form. If you are new to the product, plan on spending the money for a book for the in-depth features of your purchase. There goes the $30 rebate...


Worth the price
For the cost, I don't think you can get a more powerful or more useful package that is this easy to use. Personally, I do a lot of image work that I would have previously used PhotoShop (from school or work), but I use PhotoShop Elements now because I can do all that I need to do at a much cheaper cost. Premiere Elements has been very good to me as well for basic video editing (mostly home movies). I use a few free applications for special purposes, but otherwise Premeire elements is great for those who don't have the special training that the full version of Premiere probably requires.


Great product but you may have to upgrade your hardware
This product works great for creating videos with multiple video sources. The only problem I had was that I needed to upgrade my computer to run it. I had an Athlon XP processor which does not support the SSE2 instruction set. This software won't even install if you don't have SSE2. I upgraded my system with an Intel Core 2 Duo and it works great.


Can't convert catalog from early versions into Photoshop Elements 6.0
I had employed the PhotoAlbum adobe during 3 years, summer very happy. With decided to improve and it would not make the conversion of catalogue. I even tried to earlier download a version of the elements of photoshop, and could convert into that but not version 6.0. Of required and a good number of people having this same problem. It is a new basic structure of data for 6.0 against all the versions prevous, and seems to be very fragile. I do not include/understand why they would not carry out the test extended with their own preceding products. I have 15.000 photograph and video labelled in my catalogue, and it is not acceptable that this new version of software of adobe cannot correctly import the catalogues of adobe of the written software only 3 years ago. I put in that publishes with their team of technology, but stripped obtained an answer. I am resigned to return to the Amazon the PSE 6.0. Perhaps I will buy a version of PSE 5.0 in the place.


Adobe Improves
I employed products of adobe during years. In general they function but tend to being surplus described for my personal use. However, when you must achieve something you can with the right product of adobe. The adobe seems listened to the users and returned elements of picosecond completely a little easier to use. Combination of the marks of organizer and writer one life much easier. I tested the other "stigmatizes" and always finds them to miss. I was forced to improve because of the preceding version step completely functional with "Vista." The money spent well. Make your research. Decide on what you have need. If you are close to my needs you will not find the best not produced. Once that installed, take your time and learn that they is devices. It will take place in value your time.


Great New Look and Feel
I just received the new updates today and the love what I see up to now. I employed elements of Photoshop since 3.0, but never employed Elements Prime Minister. Up to now, all functions better than envisaged and I smell myself finally as I can publish videos now since Elements Prime Minister has the devices necessary and am easy to employ. Because time continues, I will probably find some things that I feel the improvement of the need but in this moment the two products to have exceeded my hopes.
