Reviews:

starsVery happy customer
Very good Serves to dispatch very fast had it within 4 days of the dispatch. I will please with the headphones, which are them with the Bose however for my dollar very completive. I like this better, straight mine opion.

starsExcellent Headphones!
Let me start out by saying, I'm an audiophile and I fly on planes quite a bit. I can certainly appreciate the sound of well constructed audio equipment. The Creative Aurvana X-Fi headphones exemplify that quality. In the past, I have tried the Bose headsets and definitely feel that they are horribly over-rated (amazing marketing campaign)! I honestly feel they are dull/boomy and do not provide the dynamics and clarity that good music can bring through well engineered headphones. Therefore, I decided to purchase the Sennheiser PXC-300's about a year ago. The Sennheiser's are very decent headphones, and sound great. However, they do not cover the ear and plane noise can still become apparent despite their noise canceling ability. After about a year or so of use, I decided to retire my Sennheisers for a pair of the Creative Aurvanas. What can I say? They are excellent! The noise cancellation is excellent (all external noise at the airport and on the plane seems to disappear), they are very well made, they feel solid and best of all, the sound quality is fantastic! Terrific base with a crisp high end! Never "boomy" the way the Bose headphones sound. I have to admit, I'm a convert to the Creative Aurvanas! Try them yourself. I think you will agree!

starsDo not waste your money
This was given to me as gift and also in 2 weeks, after normal use (that it on my head set), the PLASTICS (uhm, problem here) of these influences, which metal straps with mounting plate broke. AFTER 2 weeks. Also I am more gamer and an audiounusual and the hinge, which the actual main telephone to the handle - Quiet attaches, a straight when shifting your head. The WORST part is that I associated with their RMA department and said her that it me $240 for a re-installation - AFTER 2 WEEKS USE to receive another sentence bad headphone straight would cost. I have Bose the QuietComfort® 2, that the same price am and her have the best clay/tone and the quality. After 1 year use, I that she took the bad (really did not go, was static straight electricity in my area), but to Bose her back, then free of charge replaced, thought improve me to Bose the QuietComfort® 3 version and with 2. Ship decreased/gone back. THATs a large company. I would not particularly recommend these AT ALL because of the lack to structure of quality (clay/tone is okay) and the back getting politics after two weeks a use on a sentence $300 headphones. GO with Bose, Sie are not disappointed. If you had headphones of the noises never cancelling and you on set these, you would think that they are large, but if you had a sentence Bose and then these, you would cry, thus I unite these other reports to understand can, saying, which are good them. These are not not worth quality, to $300.

starsHeadphones at a price
Noises cancelation in these headphones seems, upper notch to be... and the quality plastics in the headphones is also differently than Bose good, which use usually inexpensive plastics, to which breaks. My only objections with the headphones are: 1. The battery room Design forms it with difficulty to take the second battery out. 2. seem the headphones to use battery performance really last two AAA batteries (reloadable 1000 milliampere hour) only around 7-8 hours per loading. Granted this is with all three functions, on. Battery lives were turned, can be better with only the noise cancellation, which was switched on. Otherwise are this large headphones.

starsGood, solid NC headphone (but it chews batteries!)
I have owned and still own several other Noise-Canceling headphones and Aurvana X-Fi is definitely one of the top performers.
I love being able to use the headphone passively, as most other NC products would not work unless switched on.
Video sounds great with Cristallizer (similar to the USB X-Fi for PCs), i'm not so impressed with music, where Treble tones are still pumped too high.
It does its job on an airplane, where I'd expect to use it most, and it works a tad better than my Bose.
However, it loses one star because it eats batteries at an unacceptable rate. Expect about 8 to 9 hours of continuous use out of two AAA batteries with all 3 featured setting on - it means you are unlikely to finish a full trans-atlantic flight on just one set of batteries. I do not understand how is this possible, as even my 10 years old Bose can stretch about 40-50 hours on two AAA batteries.
My last gripe is with price - it loses another star as I find hard to justify this price tag on a relatively commoditized technology.
If this set could stretch at least 25-30 hours of usage from a battery set (transoceanic round trip plus some) and was priced around a realistic $150 tag, it would get 5 stars.

starsVery good headphone, get these!!!
The sound from this headphone is great. I sit next to a loud computer, noise cancellation of this headphone works better than Bose QC3. Ear pad feels very soft and headphone feels like, overall the feel is very comparable to Bose. Fairly comfortable to wear for extended period of time. Got this with a huge discount from Dell.

The only downside, this headphone uses 2 AAA batteries. I use energizer 850mAH NiMH batteries, and they last about 4 hours in this headphone with noise cancellation, x-fi crystalizer and x-fi 3D all turned on. Get lots of rechargeable batteries! With the power turned off, the sound is very weak.

There is a volume wheel on the headphone itself which is nice although I rarely use it.

starsBest Headphones on the market
Best headphones, which I bought at all - the noises, the characteristic cancel, are way better than Bose headphone, and which really works X-FI Cystalizer and X-FI CMSS-3D keys, by improving a mp3's sound quality surrounded with an additional sound effect. Also the mini putting version connection entrance steckfassung works with the deeply deepened IP-HONE. OH- and I mention the headphones are very comfortably to carry...

starsBest Headphones available in the market
This is the best Headphones available in the market. I do not personally own this but I tried it during Sitex 2007 in Singapore when I visited Creative's booth. I own X-fi extremegamer and I realized the clarity and the distinctive and natural ups and downs X-fi deliver when it comes to music and movies. It does not use reverbs or unnaturally drum up the bass unlike SRS wow from Media player and other enhancements that are available. It works for most songs. It makes your music "alive". It's great to be integrated into already the highest end noise-cancelling headphones. It has no comparable products as of now. Perhaps X-fi could be integrated into mp3/mp4 players one day or X-fi could be improved to be more intelligent and allow choice of reverbs that work well for a minority of songs. It's a pity the free shipping US$249.99 deal from Amazon is dead!

starsWill not travel without them
I recieved straight this last week. To them on a flight some days took later and I BECOME STRAINED! Is good this un-believeable-believeable like work on cancelling the outside noises. I let try two other people on the surfaces it and her had so away burned through fair, how I was! Receive it, you are not disappointed.

starsHow to get incredible sound from your iPod
I do not possess these, but a person, those near me on a flight from New York had sits her yesterday. It let me use it, in order to hear for mine iPod for one while. Wows! I have X-FI on my Dell computer, which I use for world of Warcraft, therefore white I that it is good material. I did not know that they had X-FI in the headphones. Of course the good noise cancelling is ever the impressive, but, if you switch this key on X-FI, the music fair tones a thousand times better. It is kind like a having of the perfect Entzerrereinstellungen, but more, because the clay/tone is somehow larger. And really freely. I looked for on-line for them hoping to find an agreement. $300 dollars is much for me, but possibly I know a wrangle sentence for Christmas. (tip tip)

starsI can't believe my ears!
These are hands down the finest headphones I have ever heard. Ever.

I'm an early adopter. I like new gadgets. I know about X-Fi. So I jumped at the chance to buy these headphones. They aren't cheap - but they're not the most expensive cans on the market either.

I thought my iPod sounded fine with the earbuds that came in the box. Not great but not bad. I was wrong. EVERYTHING sounds bad when compared to these bad boys from the geniuses behind X-Fi. I don't really understand HOW X-Fi works. But I understand what it does: it makes my MP3s and iTunes music sound better. Simple as that.

I do have one minor complaint. Like all noise-cancelling headphones, the sound bleeds from the Aurvana X-Fis. So you might bug your neighbor a little bit on a long flight. Hahaha! I don't think the bleed is worse than in any other pair of headphones. Just thought I'd mention it anyway.
