First thing is that I need to keep both the two rear satellites on the right side, due to the wire problem.
Also, sometimes there is strange noise from the subwoofer, but I did not figure out what is the problem.
Anyway, the performance is still great.


Great speakers!
This product is great for gaming and movies but not so much for music tho it's nothing to complain about. It delivers high quality sound for surround. I wouldnt have any complains for the speakers except for the fact that it doesnt have an optical or coaxial input for dolby / surround console gaming audio. But hey, for a PC speaker system, its serves its purpose.

They are a little a dork when it comes to the equipment electronic of putting in work. Well, these loudspeakers are extremely easy to install. After, alive in an apartment to a room so as to I do not have all the space in the world, but these loudspeakers do not take much room at all! Hour, they are not a gamer enormous but I LOVE to listen to music on mine laptop. These loudspeakers supply the quality BETTER than mine actualy player/stereo Cd. I am not finding myself when I say to you that I could probably accommodate a small left in my apartment not using other sound that these loudspeakers. For the price, hard to beat.
The sound is fantastic, all that the other critics have noticed us and then some. More than how much they have been satisfied. Great if right connectors
These speakers are all that I ask for. Great in the small space I have allowed and reasonably priced. I use these speakers on my laptop so that leads to the only bad part of this product. The only downside for this product is that matrix sound. If you only have the red and white RCA to a headphone jack and use the matrix sound it will play sound through all the speakers but it sound like a echo and the music just does not sound the best. It is an easy fix though, one could go out and purchase and adapter to plug the three (Black, Orange, and Green) headphone jacks in to one and then connect them to a computer that does not have the capability to plug all three jacks into. The sound will not be in total 5.1 surround sound but all the speakers put out good sound after the remedy.


Pure goodness
These are 5,1 pleasant loudspeakers that I would suggest to all with this kind of estimate. The healthy quality is narcotic!


Terrible Sub Woofer
Extremely they are disappointed. The subwoofer it has a noise that continuous that sound like wind that jumps through it with an occasional auction like thunder. Order came in reasonable time and in perfect shape from Amazon. I love the sound on this system. I bought it for a theater surround system and later found out it was mainly for gaming, then, when I got and tried it, I was delighted at the full sound and power it delivered when watching movies. Another Great Product by Logitech
What can I say after testing this unit out for weeks I seems not to find any flaws. The wired remote is way above anything compared to the old Logitech speakers except for the Z-5500 having to control the volume of the surround, sub woofer and center speaker, while having the function of the mic plug and head phone with mute control for both is great to have. The Z-5300 retails the same with this G51 with more power in watts and having THX certification but this G51 has better sound as having a better signal to noise ratio. Can't really say this beats the Z-5300 with my ears but in specs it does as quality of sound is much important than just being loud noise. Also the matrix mode is great having technically 3 profile of listening style (normal, game, and music) setting how loud my center, surround and sub through the wired remote (which is great to have) for each profile. If you are debating if you want to get this or the Z-5300 since there in the same price bracket I would go for this which I am pleased to have them.

Logitech Speakers- A great Buy
I received my new Logitech G51 5.1 Surround Speakers about two weeks ago in the mail, and so far I love them. It makes gaming a lot nicer; the sound quality is just fabulous. Here are some pros and cons about the speakers.
Pros:
The speakers have excellent sound quality, even when the volume is turned to max.
The speakers have adjustable sound controls (i.e. more subwoofer, more surround, more in center)
The speakers have a control pod that sits on your desk, allowing for easy volume/specific sound control
The speakers have plenty of cord, so there is no problem putting them behind/to the side of you.
The speakers have a re-usable Velcro straps to wrap up unused cord
The speakers' cords' ends are plugged directly into the subwoofer, and a cord is included to connect the subwoofer to the computer. There are options that can adapt to 2 port sound card also, so no worries.
There are ports directly in the control pod for a headset/microphone
The control pod has three pre-programmed settings for gaming, music, and just in general. They make a big difference, and they work very well.
All the speakers have nice mounts, sitting upright. They also have the attachments to mount the to the wall, for better surround system. The center speaker also has a special mount so it can mount very well on a flat screen monitor, no screws or nails.
Cons:
The speakers messed up my music at first, until I figured out all the settings to make my music better. That took an hour or so of fiddling with the console and sound controls.
When reading the directions, it was hard to figure out where the English directions were. They were all jumbled in with the Spanish and French directions. Once you found the English, however, they were very clear and easy to follow.
The center speaker made no noise when I first got it, and I had to turn the "center" channel to max, and had to adjust all the other levels accordingly.

The cons were definitely outweighed by the pros, and they are all resolved by now anyway. All in all, this is a great speaker set; I definitely recommend it.



Fantastic speakers
Great looking surround sound system (you can even replace the skins to match your decor) that is very easy to install and setup. The sound is incredible and the control pod allows easy adjustment of individual channels for any room shape and size. This system takes gaming to a whole new level; you really are immersed in the whole game. By far the best product for the price, I highly recommend it.


A Very High Quality Computer Speaker System
As soon as I opened the box for the Logitech G51 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers I knew I had a high quality product. Logitech really tried to make this speaker product stand out from its competition in form and fit. All the audio cables were color coded, as were the outlets on the powered subwoofer. Even the non-Logitech audio card in my computer used the same color code. Assembly did not require the one page instruction sheet. Using "Never Winter Nights" as a test game I found the background music rolling in from the rear two speakers and voices and action sounds coming from the front left, right and center speakers with crystal clear, spatially distinct, realistic sounds. The bass was powerful and faithful without a hint of boominess. The game was much better using this sound system than using my previous one. This time I got what I paid for. Next I played a CD of the musical "The Baker's Wife", which has a number of crowd scenes. With my eyes shut it was very much like being in the audience of a live theater presentation - the best presence I have ever experienced in audio playback. The small control box beside my computer was heavy enough not to slide around and provided complete control of all the components. The only negative I find in this product is the exposure of the downward firing subwoofer. It would be very easy to badly damage it.


Great audio and smooth surround sound
Before this I used a 2.1 system, and thought it was pretty good. Well, the G51 blew it away with its' smooth audio that envelops you and adds a powerful and unique audio experience to any system. It sounded great in games, and music takes on a whole new dimension. I watched some TV shows on my Slingbox and the G51 made my room sound like a professional audio entertainment room.

The controller makes it easy to adjust the volume as well as the individual channel volumes (surround, center, bass). It also provides convenient microphone and headphone jacks at your fingertips. The mute button is also a handy addition to the control panel.

The G51 has ample speaker cables, but a little extra length on both the front and rears would be welcome. Even better, if they could make this system wireless - it would really open up speaker placement options.

Overall, this is a great set of speakers, and I've listened to a lot of speakers (both computer and audiophile speakers) and can honestly give these 5 stars for stellar performance. When they finally get rid of those wires - I'll be the first in line!

Another Great Speaker System From Logitech
I previously used an older set of Logitech 5.1 Sound Sound Speakers. What an improvement these speakers are! Sounds are crystal clear and the bass is very good. They are easy to set up and look great. My favorite feature is the control pod. It allows you to adjust speaker volume, sub woofer and center channel volume as well as adjust the amount of surround sound. The only improvement here would be an wireless control pod. I definitely recommend these speakers.

Come Feel the Noise!
I received my speakers a few weeks ago and apart from being a total surprise to get them this setup really blew me away. Of course I had just the usual speakers that came with my computer so I can't really compare them because these speakers are definitely hands, feet, and ears above regular speakers. This setup has a controller which allows you to switch and adjust the sounds easily. I play City of Heroes/Villains a lot and it was like entering a whole new world and that's just with my standard system sound card. I need to now upgrade my sound card to the 5.1 so I can truly enjoy everything they have to offer. The balance, the sound effects, and yes even music and movies are nothing short of astounding for such small speakers. I highly recommend these speakers for all gamers and music afficionadios.


WOW!!!
I picked up these speakers about a week ago and am ecstatic about them! I upgraded from a very good 2.1 system to this 5.1 surround and the difference was amazing (even using my onboard sound). This setup has a controller which allows you to emulate 5.1 sound via a 2.1 card. I also went ahead and upgraded to a 5.1 sound card and the difference was amazing. These speakers really shine on their native sound card. The balance is nothing short of astounding for such small speakers. I am an audio engineer and am impressed with this product. Logitech is still the leader in the industry for peripherals. I will always get their products. Oh and btw, surround sound is a must for gaming!


Awesome Speakers
I just got these speakers and I'm already pleased with them. They have great sound and the controls are really nice. I especially like how you can control the volume of just the sub. Logitech really outdid themselves on this one. The different matrices is also very nice to switch between music and gaming. The only thing I would really like in these speakers is that the rear speakers be wireless, but overall these speakers are the BOMB!!!


Nice system
Received these a week ago, gave them to the daughter of a friend of mine as a gift, she took them into her room as me and my friend were chatting, by the time we went back to her room to set them up for her she had already installed them and was online playing WoW and telling her friends about her "awesome" new speakers, I think this speaks volumes about how easy they are to install.
The speakers allow you to use RCA plugs to hook your stereo into them and switch between the computer and the stereo at the push of a button, a feature for which my friend curses me every day when his daughter wakes him to 200db music in surround sound, seriously though these are loud I can hear her music in the driveway, distortion free.
In summation, I feel if you are in the market for speakers these are the best in their price range.
