Great web cam, some really nice features
This camera, once I got it working, is really cool, and would give it five stars if it weren't for the driver issues.

I had some Vista driver issues, which I believe are resolved with the Vista's service pack 1, and logitech's latest release. So check the web site for the latest release when installing.

I bought this camera for skype, because I wanted a web cam which worked well in low light, I purchased a cheaper Creative Live! Cam Optia, and it didn't work well in lower light. The focus was not automatic, and it wasn't a very cheep camera. What I mean by lower light is a room with one light on. That is why I spent the extra money on the hopes of getting a good camera. This camera works well in lower light, not all yellow, auto focus's, tracks your face with it's motorized lens, it is great. Probably not good for scenic pictures of the grand canyon, but for a webcam, I'm happy.

This web \cam comes with some really fun software which I didn't realize and is great for burning off a few hours. If you have kids, you will have a blast and get some great pictures with their video effects.

I had to struggle with Vista drivers on my brand new HP desk top, however once this thing worked, I would buy it again. Logitech's customer support is pretty good, they have about a day or two turn around, but there answers are complete. Also we had a dialog back and forth and were able to follow the problem through via their support ticket system.

Again, I beleive with Vista service pack 1, and Logitechs latest release, this product will install and function properly. I think I got cut on the bleeding edge here.




Good web cam, some of the advanced features are unstable
This attached well running Vista business, good illustration quality Ueberskype, large sound quality. The selbstfarbe adjustments are not necessary, are good the illustration without them and they form the straight illustration more badly. Those Follow meeigenschaft work for one while closes then. The animations maintain for a minute or two. I will it set their programming expenditure into the preparation of the fundamental bugs to prefer. Still also I am not in a the position ge$$$WESEN to receive this working current Linux (Ubuntu) although it was registered, as compatible with the Linux driver.


Logitech QuickCam Orbit
I am used to using a camcorder and when I got this was EXTREMELY disappointed in the clarity. The color is out of wack no matter how much I adjust it. I have a friend who has one too and she said hers is not as fuzzy as mine.Logitech QuickCam Orbit AF


Not a bad camera
Work quite well. Well in the bright, surrounding light. The characteristic, it you to seek out leaves rmovement, is so-so. A perfect characteristic does not forget to follow as the camera sometimes, you. The automatic focusing needs much of the light, also. At night you let the risk run creatng the brenzligen places, with using inside, lighing, are too efficient. After it had used this camera, it would be really cool, if it had a direct transmission. Thought lot you leave to us hear some top sides now... I would recommend, supply this camera her a quality illustration, and most its errors (you see above), can be overcome with little sense of sharp. All we must remember, this level of the technology are amazing for the price. Straight one 5 years before and this kind of the thing would have cost a perfect... or been not attainable. Good camera, good illustration, DISTINGUISHING micropohone. Whispering from the rear waives the camera with 10 foot far away. Very Nice But...
This camera provides a very good picture but mounting it is a challenge. It doesn't sit on top of a flat screen monitor and if you use the pedestal you have to put it up on a 12" stand in order for it to be in front of you. The only other choice is to have it off to the side, but then your guest thinks you're being rude by not looking at them. It's like when the news anchor is looking at the wrong camera.


Amazing Improvement
I had use a creative movement webcam... The Logitech QuickCam course AF is an enormous jump in the technology! The dissolution (particularly in the hp mode!!!) digital SLR is comparable with my 10M! Really work and TWO faces can seek out the seeking out characteristic, which videocalls for family is large! The LightRight characteristic forms a confusing with exposure and the not necessary brightness! Look for one webcam? This is it!


Poor quality
The cameras best features were a huge letdown:

"Rightlight": results in blurred images. People or objects look like blurred steaks when they pass by the camera in dark or even slightly dim situations.

Motion tracking: Only works in chat mode (I would have liked in in motion detect mode). Even in chat mode it loses your face very easily leaving you to adjust the camera back into place and restart the whole tracking feature.


Autofocus: I had the camera pointing out the window the camera can easy be confused into autofocusing close on the glass of the window instead of far into the distance.




Very good Product
I had hardtime mounting that on that stick with the USB socket provided but finally overcame that and it works really well. Very good quality and resolution.

Pro quality, affordable price
Great webcam with crystal-clear image quality and a wealth of setting features. Used internally, the image is TV-quality or better; compression and bandwidth limitations over the Internet degrade that but it still performs better than any I've seen before. It installed with no problems and has worked extremely well. The tracking features work as advertised.

Be prepared to open some ports manually but this camera can do it for you, depending on your ISP and your home network.

Well worth the money!


Bad product
I bought it today, installed the software, plugged in the camera and got the blue screen. After 2 hours of work, rebooting, uninstalling, installing , blue screens, downloading new software, the customer service ended up by blaming Microsoft, even if the computer works just fine when their webcam is not connected. Must return it as soon as possible and never buy a Logitech webcam again.


Logitech QuickCam Orbit AF Review
I purchased two Logitech QuickCam Orbit AF's; one for me and one for my girl friend. I read some reviews online and some people said that they had trouble with the installation. I followed the directions and had NO PROBLEM AT ALL. The camera itself is cool/different looking. The picture quality is good and the "Follow Me" feature works pretty good considering the camera is retailed at $129.00. My girlfriend was walking around her room putting on makeup then coming back to type and it followed her back and forth. The software itself is very easy to use and pops up automatically when you start using the Cam on Yahoo Chat or Paltalk or whatever chat service you are using. I like being able to maually control the camera as well. All in all this camera is pretty impressive and I'm happy thusfar. Short of this thing breaking on me I'll be very happy. My roommate in Iraq wants to get one now and is jealous that I found it first. But, that's just how I roll.


High-End webcam for a reasonable price
This is a fantastic webcam with a great set of software tools. I use it for conference calls where we share whiteboards and the picture quality is fantastic. Also Skype allows you to do high-def video calls with this camera. Highly recommended with very good price / quality ratio!
