Reviews:

starsA decent newborn diaper
We tried almost all newborn size diapers and they all have their issues. We had leaks with them all. At least with Seventh Generation you feel better about the environment.

starslike these diapers!
These shaped nappies functioned really well for us with our new-born baby. They adapt it good and are very absorbing. More, they are better for the environment so that is a great allowance.

starsTerrible Diapers
I am glad Seventh Generation exists as a company -- that's why I tried these diapers in the first place. And because of the good reviews here and elsewhere. I have to say I am extremely disappointed. First, like one of the other reviewers, I have had multiple stool leaks with these diapers -- a repeated, huge mess that is upsetting to Baby and extremely so to my husband. The baby hasn't had these problems with Pampers. Also, when she wets a lot, the diaper stays wet to her skin, which causes her to FLIP OUT. I am not advocating delaying changing your baby's wet diaper, obviously, but if you're at the Post Office trying to mail Christmas packages, for example, you might prefer to wait til you get back home or at least to the car and not have the Baby wailing the entire time. Besides, can all that wetness on her skin be good for her? I would think not. At bottom (no pun intended), I guess that I feel the environmental effects of these diapers as opposed to others are so uncertain and/or miniscule that I am not willing to upset my entire family and have her mess all over the place. I would not buy these again.

starsWanted to Love these
I REALLY wanted to love these diapers!! We have been using seventh generation since birth & have had tons of problems. 1st let me say that I like the idea of "chlorine free"; however keep in mind they are still disposable & still contain plastic & gel. Before I really did my research I thought I was doing right by my baby & the environment. Now I realize that in some ways you could make an argument that these may be slightly better for both; however when you consider the drawbacks, in my experience, not really. Next, while I have not had any urine leaks with these I have had TONS of stool leaks (over months!!!). Now, I thought that it was my baby (not user error as I have diapered way more than my share of babies!) until I tried some other diapers (both disposable & cloth), & realized it was the diaper. We have only had only a few non leaking stool diapers, even when I change my baby immediately!!! Now factor in the extra wipes & extra laundry & products needed for stains am I really helping the environment or my baby (not to mention my wallet!!!!!)?
I laugh as everyone who sees these on my baby refers to them as the "organic diapers", while a nice image, this is very inaccurate! I am not trying to slam seventh generation as I have respect for the company; I am just really disappointed with this product. I hope they will continue their efforts & maybe redesign these diapers to make them more effective & eco-friendly. Till then; I must abandon this product!

Hope you find this helpful!

starsAmazing Diapers!
I first bought these diapers for my daughter when she got her first bad diaper rash at about a month old. It was one of those rashes that looked as though her skin had been set on fire and nothing seemed to be helping it. I had tried everything and thought maybe these chlorine free diapers and wipes will do something for her. To my amazement, her diaper rash went away within a day and a half of using the diapers and wipes from Seventh Generation. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself! I think that really speakes volumes about the danger of whatever chemicals being are put into the other diaper brands. These are now the ONLY brand of diapers I will buy for my kids.

starsGreat diapers
These are great diapers...chemically more appealing than any of the mainstream diapers...though I'm not sure how they are totally better for the environment when they get to the landfill...or are they? Are they made of biodegradable materials? Either way, better for the baby b/c of fewer toxins...
